Today, at Tenuta Buon Tempo, we gather the experiences and moments of listening we have cultivated over the years, in dialogue with a nature that is constantly changing

”So perfectly integrated into a territory with unique geographic and geological characteristics. Our agricultural approach is tasked with meeting the needs that come to us from the soil and the plants, in a holistic vision in which everything is connected, every choice matters, every action leaves a mark.
Preserving an idea of continuity between vineyard and cellar, through manual practices we seek to respect the character of the grape variety we grow, as an expression of place, through a personal and mindful lens, leaving room for creativity.
Our vineyards are located between Castelnuovo dell’Abate, where they surround the estate, and Montalcino. The 12 hectares in Castelnuovo lie in an unspoiled landscape, bordered by the Orcia River, atop a hill facing Monte Amiata (at an altitude ranging from 180 to 350 m above sea level, with a South-East exposure). The remaining 2 hectares are separate from the main body of the estate and are located north of Montalcino, on the lower slopes of the hill, facing the Montosoli vineyards, in the Calbello area (at 300 m above sea level, with a North exposure).
The estate is managed collaboratively by Filippo, Alberto, Marco, Stefano and Fernando. Each of them actively contributes to achieving shared goals while respecting the company’s philosophy; each person’s individuality remains present in the expressions of the wine we produce. Per and Janet provide constant support in growing the project and the ambitions that drive it.
The only grape variety grown is Sangiovese Grosso, trained entirely with the spurred cordon method; of the 14 hectares in total, only 5 are dedicated to the production of Brunello and Riserva. The remaining part is dedicated to Rosso di Montalcino and, in a small percentage, to the production of our IGT, La Furba. Soon a small white-grape vineyard will be planted, deeply connected to the distinctive character of Montalcino and, in particular, to the soils and climate of Castelnuovo dell’Abate.
A project that speaks of territory, identity and anticipation.

According to Tenuta Buon Tempo’s philosophy, the quality of the wine is born in the vineyard, through the utmost dedication, which allows us to produce the best possible grapes.
Climate and soil are the key ingredients for creating a favorable environment, one capable of growing healthy plants and clusters able to fully express their organoleptic qualities. The implementation of agricultural practices that respect both people and nature lies at the heart of our intentions. Thanks to Janet’s contribution, who nurtures the creative soul of the estate, every space has found an aesthetic expression that reflects who we are.
