AN INSTRUCTIVE VINTAGE MARKS THE DEFINITIVE PASSAGE TO CERTIFIED ORGANIC.
Within these sunny days and with the mild temperatures, which this October has gifted us, our harvest operations have been completed. It hasn’t been an easy year. There were 75 days in which our plants were exposed to the hot summer temperatures, without ever receiving a drop of cooling water. We were actually very worried, but nature – you know – is extraordinary !! Despite the high temperatures and drought, we could observe that the plants retained a lush green foliage, without disease.
The rains in August completely turned the picture, allowing the vines to absorb the water necessary to give us fruit rich in juice, with lower yields, but in line with the trend of recent years. Mother nature as always teaches us to interact with our vineyards and grapes, and to strive even more in the cellar, in order to reach the level of qualitative excellence, which we want to offer our customers.
This harvest also marks the definitive transition to the organic conversion of all our rows, a process in which we have always believed and which we started in 2018.
